Gazing Cherub

This photograph was taken in the last days of Autumn 2004. Like many of my photographs the image is a happy coincidence, the colours of the otherwise quite ordinary statue, were brought to life, not so much by the falling cascade of the fountain, but the preceeding shower. The late summer blooms in the background helped produced a glorious rainbow of colour. The cherub does not look over impressed by the relentless deluge, despite gazing skyward.
