Moon Shot

It never ceases to amaze me that subjects that anyone can see almost every day can still make fascinating pictures. There are few things more familiar than moon, and yet a good zoom and a close crop makes this a great, interesting picture. For a closer look at this familiar subject, go to Google Moon, but don't zoom too far, as the great secret of the Moon's geology may be revealed. NASA have just announced they will be returning to this heavenly body by 2018, so from a photography perspective, perhaps the new mission photos won't be prepared in Area 51 this time.
